The Groom Energy patented Hybrid lighting retrofit kit enables the rapid retrofit of commercial and industrial low bay HID lighting fixtures, producing more light while consuming 50% less energy. Utilizing either externally ballasted amalgam compact fluorescent or amalgam induction lamps, this kit fits inside the industry's most common HID-style low bay fixtures. This leverages the existing exterior electrical connection, fixture housing and diffusor, and eliminates costly and wasteful disposal of components.
This patented kit offers superior light quality, (25% better CRI than Metal Halide, 300% better CRI than High Pressure Sodium) and far better lumen maintenance over the life of the lamp than typical HID lamps. The CFL kit has over twice the lamp life of medium base metal halide fixtures (20-25,000 hours), and the induction offers 10 times greater lamp life (100,000 hours), generating significant maintenance savings. With over 30,000 installed across the US, the Groom Hybrid kit is an extremely cost effective HID retrofit option for low bay applications.
